Morning Worship

Our welcoming Sunday morning worship features readings, short dramas, testimonies and a variety of music, ranging from traditional hymns to contemporary worship songs. We also look deeper into the Bible and it's teaching, as well as age related activities for children and young people linked to the meetings theme. Our worship is inclusive and is accommodating of all needs. 

Discipleship Training

Every fourth week our worship takes the form of discipleship training, with a informal layout and refreshments throughout. 

Coffee Fellowship

We have coffee fellowship before the meeting from 9:45am.

Where?

All Sunday worship takes place at Burton Green Primary School, Burton Green.  York.  YO30 6JE

If you are unable to join us in person for worship we live stream our worship on our Facebook page and YouTube Channel LIVE every Sunday from 10.20am.

Studying in York or nearby?

York Salvation Army welcomes all students and invites you to come and worship with us and join our Young Adults fellowship. 

We are aware that some students may struggle with transport and are able to arrange pick-ups. 

We are also  pleased to offer student lunches to attending students. This is arranged within the church and provided by other church members

We host messy cafe church 5 times a year. Spring, Easter, Summer, Harvest and Christmas.

We join together on a Sunday afternoon in messy church activities, refreshments and songs. Messy cafe church is for all ages.

Our next messy cafe church is in summer with the date to be confirmed. A sign up form will be available when the date is confirmed.

You do not have to be a member of The Salvation Army to attend our worship meetings, or to receive practical help and support, but many people want to belong – and we want people to feel they belong to York Salvation Army church and community.
